My vintage laundry

I wanted to show you some views in my laundry.
I don't like the colour of this little hutch
but
will not change it
as it's original
and
even better
it's made from old wooden ammunition boxes.
A very vintage Australian piece
possibly
Depression Era
A vintage repro postcard on the front of a metal laundry powder bin
I made this laundry hanger a few years ago
using 1930's repro fabrics
This is a genuine vintage peg bag
with a vintage mickey mouse coat hanger
I made this peg bag from vintage fabric that has little scotty terriers on it
I adore this child's laundry trolley
and
washing tongs
My new laundry curtain with battenburg lace border
and
vintage button tie back
Vintage linens and doilies drying on a vintage clothes airer.
Three trolleys in a row
Love their back wheels
Old laundry trolley
and
the Australian flag
Another vintage child's laundry trolley
Thanks for visiting me.
If you follow me I'll follow you.

    1. Hi Carlene, thanks for commenting. I got the lamp for my birthday 10 yrs ago, it was brand new. My cousin gave it to me cause he knows what I like.... It's a repro anyhow and he filled it with citronella oil. I use it when we have a blackout and I like the smell and it keeps the mozzies away.

    1. Thanks Karen. This house is only temporary so I have just put pieces where they fitted. If you saw mine in total you would think it needs a makeover too. It's all neat and tidy but lacking real character. Hopefully we will be outta here within 6-12 months and then I can concentrate on the 'dream' house.

    1. That's what we call them in Australia. It's funny and also delightful at the spectre of names/terms we use for things even though we all speak english. The only time we really use cart is for a billy cart which is a home made cart with 4 wheels that kids push each other around on and excuse my 'crudeness' but in the old days the night soil collector was called the 'dunny carter'....LOL Thanks for visiting my blog.
